Dimitra S. Scott

Dimitra is the chair of both the Divorce & Family Law and Adoption & Assisted Reproduction practice groups at Beresford Booth PLLC where she brings compassion and a balanced perspective to clients.

In the family formation practice, Dimitra guides adoptive parents and birth parents to find unique solutions to meet each party’s needs. For Assisted Reproduction matters, she represents Intended Parents, Surrogates, and Donors to prepare agreements, review contracts, and obtain parentage orders to create a client’s desired family. Dimitra recognizes that no two clients are the same, no two families are the same, and she strives to understand and support each individual decisions and circumstances to guide them through the process.

As a family law litigator, Dimitra brings compassion and a balanced perspective to clients. Her background in business and litigation provides a solid foundation to advise clients regarding complex asset division issues. From evaluating equitable division of a closely held family business, tracing complicated separate property claims, or negotiating residential time in a parenting plan, Dimitra strives to achieve positive and practical results. While providing the highest level of advocacy in motion and trial practice, Dimitra understands and strives to provide cost effective solutions and to promote settlement and resolution of a case short of trial.

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dimitra graduated from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek where she enjoyed playing soccer and fastpitch softball. She continued athletics at Menlo College playing fastpitch softball and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Menlo College in California while continuing to play fastpitch. Dimitra joined Beresford Booth in 2004, after graduating Cum Laude from Seattle University School of Law.

Outside of the office, Dimitra resides with her family in Mill Creek, where they remain active in athletics, coaching youth sports, and volunteering time to individuals with special needs.
