Ivan Štrbac

Ivan Štrbac, of SunjkaLaw,  started working in the ŠunjkaLaw in 2010. Before he started his career as a lawyer, he worked at County Court in Novi Sad (2007-2009) and Court of Appeals in Novi Sad (2009-2010).

Since then, his area of practice is business law and complex litigation, especially employment law, where he advises and represents both employees and employers, in negotiations, dispute resolution and before competent courts, arbitration and other competent bodies. Related to aforementioned, he acquired a vast knowledge in employment contracts, various modes of employment termination and non-competition clauses, and their effect in complex litigation matters.

Travis Ujjainwalla

Travis Ujjainwalla, of Mann Lawyers LLP, is a member of the Employment, Human Rights, and Labour group.  He has represented clients on litigation matters including, wrongful dismissals, constructive dismissals, human rights claims, and employee grievances.

Travis gives advice on various pieces of legislation including, the Employment Standards Act, the Labour Relations Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Canada Labour Code, the Canadian Human Rights Act, the occupational Health and Safety Act, the Workplace Safety and insurance Act, and the Personal Information and Electronics Act. He also provides advice on employer rights under Collective Agreements.

Sima Fried

Sima Fried, of Thomas & Libowitz, P.A., is an attorney in the firm’s civil litigation practice area – which includes its labor and employment practice and its construction claims practice – and provides our clients with the highest level of legal representation in all aspects of their civil litigation needs.

A graduate of New York University, School of Law, Sima commenced her professional career in the New York City office of the international law firm of Bingham McCutchen LLP (now Morgan Lewis Bockius LLP). During her nearly four years at Bingham, Sima primarily represented international banks and investment companies in both regulatory investigations and litigation in state and federal courts across the country. Following a brief period with the New York City Law Department, where Sima defended the city and its agencies in individual and class action civil rights lawsuits asserted against them, Sima moved back to her hometown of Baltimore.

Carla Hartley

Carla Hartley, of Dillingham & Murphy, LLP, is represents employers in jury trials, appeals, arbitrations and before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Carla provides human resources advice and a full range of services to assist her clients in remaining compliant with the complicated web of laws applicable to California employers.

Her areas of expertise include wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowers, leaves of absence, disability and religious accommodation, wage and hour, trade secrets, privacy rights, reductions in force, severance negotiations, compensation and commission plans, and class and collective actions. Carla's expertise includes the Affordable Care Act, Stark and Anti-Kickback compliance, and peer review.

Francisco Peńa

Francisco Peńa, of Cacheaux Cavazos & Newton, is a partner at CCN, where he has worked since 2000. He graduated from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (JD). Mr Peña represents foreign investors doing business in Mexico, particularly in the areas of environmental, employment and labor litigation, health and safety and contract law. He has extensive experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements with Mexican unions before Mexican labor authorities. Prior to joining CCN, he worked as the legal director of Grupo CIGSA in Tampico, Tamaulipas; he also worked for Martínez Arrieta y Asociados, and Asesores Jurídicos S.C. in Monterrey, Nuevo León. He has written numerous articles and given presentations on environmental and labor law topics. He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences offered throughout the United States by M.L. Smith Publishers.

Anu Vuori

Anu Vuori, of Magnusson, specializes in employment law, contracts, corporate and M&A, and litigation.

She has extensive experience in all aspects of employment law, including day-to-day advice, employment and executive contract issues, company restructurings and co-operation procedures in connection with local and international business transformations, corporate immigrations and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Anu is specializing in employment dispute resolution, especially in court litigations.
