The Power of Public Records and Data

Friday, August 16, 2024

9:00 AM PDT/10:00 AM MDT/11:00 AM CDT/12:00 PM EDT/5:00 PM GMT/6:00 PM CEST

Legal work isn’t constrained to tasks like drafting contracts or writing briefs. Lawyers often play an important role in investigating people, businesses, and governments. Learning to navigate public sources of information – that are free or low cost – will unlock an opportunity for young lawyers to stand out from the crowd and benefit clients. Kylie Schmidt of Ogborn Mihm LLP will facilitate a discussion that will challenge attendees to consider unique methods of information gathered by harnessing the power of the internet, social media data, and public records requests.
