Clyde C. (Jack) Owen is a partner in the Montgomery office. He began practicing with Ball, Ball, Matthews and Lamar, which later became Ball, Ball, Matthews & Novak, P.A., in 1976. His early practice concentrated on defense litigation. He now concentrates on insurance coverage analysis and litigation, along with probate administration and litigation. Mr. Owen is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. He is also a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Owen received his B.A. in English from the University of Virginia in 1972, and his J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1976.
Mr. Owen was born in Montgomery. He and his wife, Terri, are the parents of two adult children, Justin and Warren. He enjoys Lake Martin, his cocker spaniels and University of Alabama (and sometimes Virginia) sports.
