Timothy S. Byon is an associate in the real estate department. His practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate acquisitions and dispositions, real estate financing, sponsor-developer representation of new construction developments and conversions and drafting of offering plans. Timothy is also well versed in landlord and tenant side representation in residential, office and retail leasing matters. Timothy has assisted in the representation of national institutional lenders in the lending and financing of commercial and residential developments. He has also served as legal counsel to New York City condominium and cooperative boards, advising on matters ranging from day-to-day legal issues to broader building governance.
As a law student, Timothy spent a summer as a law clerk at Kim & Chang, the largest law firm in South Korea. Prior to joining Barton LLP, Timothy was an associate at Ebert Lontok LLC. Previously, Timothy began his legal career as an intern and then associate at a Manhattan-based real estate law firm.
