Miriam Name is a partner at CCN, where she has worked since 2000. Her practice focuses on representing businesses and investors in Mexico, particularly in the corporate, tax, international trade and insurance areas. Ms. Name is a graduate of the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and earned a graduate diploma in International Trade from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a master’s degree in International Commercial Law from the University of California. She is currently a professor teaching International Trade Law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho, and is a member of the committee on permanent establishments and interpretation of tax treaties of the Graduate Tax Law program of such institution, as well as a frequent author of legal articles on international trade and tax topics. Ms. Name has also acted as an expert in Mexican law before U.S. Courts.
