David Nair is a valued member of the Compensation Law team at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers, based in the firm’s Sydney office.
He has always had a passion for social justice, policy and reform. In his legal career he has worked in Criminal Law, Family Law, Wills and Estates, Personal Injury across Medical Negligence and Historical Abuse Claims and Discrimination Law, having critiqued policy and law that can be considered prejudicial towards marginalised members of Australian society.
During his early career as a paralegal, David assisted in high profile criminal cases as well as civil cases with a focus on hate speech and vilification.
Client’s may come from very different walks of life, backgrounds and cultures and David empathises with his clients and their circumstances to advocate for their best interests while still offering logical and objective legal advice. Having worked on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, David is in a position to paint a holistic and realistic picture of his client’s case.
David’s work ethic focuses on quality and effectiveness and making a difference in people’s lives.
He has appeared at local court matters all over Sydney and has prepared submissions for District and Supreme Court matters across both the criminal and civil divisions, as well tribunal hearings in Queensland and NSW.
