Hayley is a passionate member of the team dedicated to Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers’ groundbreaking work on compensation for people who are part of the Stolen Generation.
For the first time in Australia, members of the Stolen Generation are receiving redress for their suffering in settlements negotiated by the Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers team.
For Hayley, this work is really truly making a difference to people, and goes beyond simply receiving compensation. As part of the settlement process, claimants receive a personal apology on behalf of the State, and this means a lot to them.
Hayley, who joined Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers in 2014, is dedicated to building strong relationships with clients and working with them to achieve an effective resolution to their dispute.
Hayley is also passionate about gender equality and is a volunteer with UN Women Australia, and was formerly a member of the UN Women Australia International Women’s Day Breakfast Organising Committee, with the event being one of the largest functions on the Sydney fundraising calendar.
Prior to this role, Hayley held the position of Vice-Chair of Young UN Women Australia Sydney, where she was responsible for the management of members, as well as organising and overseeing an ambitious fundraising program.
