Imogen Mahony is a valued member of the Compensation Law team at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers and is based in the firm’s Newcastle office.
Imogen joined Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers in 2022 as a law clerk and worked across NSW workers compensation, CTP, and public liability claims. As she transitioned into a paralegal position, she expanded her practice to government advice for the Department of Communities and Justice.
Since becoming a solicitor in 2024, Imogen has continued to expand her practice to a range of other Personal Injury and Abuse Law matters, such as ACT workers compensation, Commonwealth workers compensation, product liability, victim services and medical negligence.
Imogen is invested in advocating for justice, with a strong desire to utilise her diverse skills as a young professional to assist people in need and achieve the best outcome possible. Imogen brings compassion and understanding to each of her clients’ matters, with a commitment to ensuring that clients feel supported throughout the legal process.

- Imogen graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia in 2024, with a combined Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Politics and International Relations.
- Imogen completed a diploma of Legal Practice at The College of Law in 2024.
- Imogen was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in August 2024.
- Imogen was awarded The NSW Bar Association Award for Commercial Practice and Ethics in 2023.
- Imogen was awarded the 2023 Law Society of NSW Excellence in Professional Conduct Award.
- Imogen received The College of Law Final Student of the Year Award 2023.
