Macy practices in the Jackson, MS office and focuses her practice on bankruptcy, business services and commercial litigation, insurance defense, professional liability, family law, and wills, estates, and trusts. Her experience includes defending malpractice claims against attorneys and insurance agents, helping clients partite dispute property in testate and intestate estates. Macy has served as a Guardian ad Litem in custody and/or visitation disputes between parties, termination of parental rights, and adoptions where she acts as an arm of the court to investigate, find facts, and make a recommendation to the court.
Macy obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2024 cum laude, where she graduated with honors and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Pretrial Practice and Children in the Legal System. In law school, she was a member of the Women’s Student Bar Association, the Family Law Society, and the Law Student Bar Association, serving as Public Relations Chair. Macy was named a Dean’s Ambassador and selected to be a Pupil member of the Charles Clark Chapter of American Inns of Court. In addition, she was a member of the Moot Court Board, where she served as Advancement Chair. While on Moot Court Board, Macy was named the Champion of the 1L Closing Argument Competition, Semifinalist at the 2022 Stetson Pretrial Competition where her team received Best State Memorandum, Quarterfinalist at the 2023 Stetson Pretrial Competition, and Quarterfinalist at the 2023 E. Earle Zehmer National Moot Court Competition where she received the award for Best Individual Oral Advocate. Macy received the Frisby Griffing Marble Scholarship, the Justice Jess H. Dickinson Professionalism Award and was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers.
While in law school, Macy clerked for Chancellors John C. McLaurin, Troy F. Odom, and Haydn J. Roberts at the Rankin County Chancery Court. Macy served as a full-time law clerk to all three chancellors while attending law school.
Macy graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2019, where she was named a Luckyday Citizenship scholar. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a minor in Communication Studies. The Southern Miss faculty and staff named her a member of the Who’s Who Southern Miss Class of 2019.
In her free time, Macy enjoys spending time with her lab, Bruno, and attending Mississippi College baseball games. She enjoys traveling, Pilates, reality TV, and spending time with her family.
