Gabrielle "Gaby" E. Reeves, Of Counsel

Gaby Reeves has been licensed to practice law in Alabama since 1999. She is located in Christian & Small’s Mobile/Baldwin County office and focuses her practice on general civil litigation with a concentration in first-party insurance, personal injury and premises liability defense litigation. Her experience includes representing both corporations and individuals in trial and appellate work, and she holds an AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rating and an AV® Preeminent Judicial Division Rating from Martindale-Hubble.

Gaby has been active in the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program (SAVLP) throughout her career and was the 2007 recipient of the Ben Kilborn Mobile Bar Association Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award. She has served on the SAVLP Board of Directors for more than 15 years and is currently a member of the SAVLP’s Executive Board, serving as the program’s Vice-President.

Representative Experience:

  • Obtained a $200,000 summary judgment in favor of insurer in a bankruptcy adversary proceeding in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.
  • Participated in writing amicus curiae brief in regard to certified question of first impression presented to the Alabama Supreme Court by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, Eastern Division, regarding medical monitoring in the absence of manifest personal injury or illness.
  • Obtained a favorable appellate decision reversing entry of Mobile County, Alabama jury verdict against a Fortune 500 retail company.
