Ms. Pierce has over thirty years of insurance defense experience and is board certified in Workers’ Compensation Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She serves as a commissioner on the Texas Board of Legal Specialization Workers’ Compensation Law Exam Commission, and participates in writing and grading the board certification exam. Ms. Pierce’s experience also includes a general defense practice, toxic torts, and medical malpractice defense.
Ms. Pierce’s practice is focused on Workers’ Compensation defense. She appears before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation, where she represents clients in the dispute resolution process from Benefit Review Conferences to trials before Administrative Law Judges. She frequently provides continuing education seminars to adjusters and employers.
Ms. Pierce graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University and was awarded membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. As an undergraduate, she was awarded a Scholar’s Scholarship for a term at Oxford University. She continued her education, receiving her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University.
As an adventure enthusiast, Ms. Pierce enjoys Class IV white water rafting, stand-up paddle board racing, scuba diving, and camping and hiking with her family.
