Lisa Landers is an associate at Lewis Johs, focusing her practice on the defense of physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities. She is also experienced in the defense of general liability claims, including premises liability and vehicular liability. Prior to joining the firm, Lisa was an associate at a Manhattan firm concentrating in medical malpractice litigation, where she defended clients from inception to trial in matters involving alleged medical malpractice and healthcare negligence.
Lisa earned her Juris Doctor Degree from St. John’s University School of Law. There, Lisa served as the Managing Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. She also received a St. Thomas More Scholarship, a CALI Award for excellence in Legal Writing and a Dean’s Award. While attending the evening division at St. John’s, Lisa worked as a paralegal at a mid-sized insurance coverage firm in Manhattan and later, as a law clerk at a firm specializing in medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Lisa graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Italian and Linguistics.
Lisa is admitted to practice in the State of New York. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a member of the New York City Bar Association.
