Jim Mazewski is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group at Mandelbaum Barrett PC in New Jersey, specializing in civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. His practice primarily involves representing corporations, entrepreneurs, and banks in a wide range of legal disputes including complex commercial cases, contractual disputes, employment matters, and construction issues.
Jim has substantial experience in trial preparation and handling appeals of varying complexity. He has managed petitions for new trials, challenged jury verdicts, and secured the reinstatement of voided contracts. He has authored multiple successful summary judgment motions and has represented international shipping companies, out-of-state commercial entities, and various public entities in jurisdictional and contractual disputes before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey
Jim has also contributed to the legal community by preparing certification petitions and amicus curiae briefs before the Supreme Court of New Jersey on diverse legal topics.
Before joining Mandelbaum Barrett PC, Jim completed a clerkship with Judge Amy O’Connor of the New Jersey Appellate Division. During law school, he interned with Justice Anne M. Patterson of the Supreme Court of New Jersey and served as Symposium Editor of the Rutgers Law Review.
