Manuel Grova represents clients in workers’ compensation, personal injury, commercial and residential real estate, and criminal (Municipal and Superior Court) cases. He is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.
Before joining the firm in 1993, Manny worked as an attorney with the Union County Prosecutor’s office for four years, and is currently a councilman in the City of Elizabeth, representing the First Ward. He was originally elected to the City Council in 1994, and began his fifth term in January 2011. He is the firm’s resident attorney in the Union County office located in Elizabeth, and since January 2002, has been the Public Defender for the Borough of Roselle’s Municipal Court. He is also the Planning Board attorney for the County of Union.
Manny received his B.A. degree from Seton Hall University in 1988, and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, Newark in 1991. He was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1992, and is a member of the New Jersey State (Criminal Section) and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
