Ilana L. Linder

Ilana is a Cincinnati native who joined Manley Burke as an associate in 2018. Her practice focuses on higher education and real estate law.

Ilana earned her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University before attending law school at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in law school, she served as an articles editor for the Indiana Journal of Law & Social Equality, and was awarded oral advocacy honors while participating in the Sherman Minton Moot Court competition. She also received two “CALI Excellence for the Future Awards” in recognition of her academic accomplishments in the law of philanthropy and nonprofit organizations. After law school, she earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership and started her (current) Ph.D. in Education Policy program at the IU School of Education.

Ilana has an extensive background in different facets of university administration. She has worked with the Indiana University Foundation and the Eskenazi Museum of Art in charitable gift planning and development capacities, and served as the Academic Policy Fellow for IU Policy Administration for several years. She also served as a legal compliance consultant with the IU Office of Online Education.

She is a regular contributor to the Fraternal Law Newsletter and the Education Law Association’s School Law Reporter and currently serves on the board of directors for the Education Law Association.
