I am an associate in the firm’s Employment, Human Rights and Labour practice group. I act for both employees and employers in matters relating to the start and end of employment, human rights claims, and employee grievances.
I have a Juris Doctorate, Bachelor of Arts (Honours), a Certificate in Law from Queen’s University. After completing my Articles at a mid-sized Ottawa law firm, I worked as in-house counsel for a national union, and then joined Mann Lawyers as an associate. I have experience representing both employees and employers in unionized and non-unionized workplaces on a variety of matters including grievances, discipline, workplace investigations, accommodations and human rights, collective bargaining, and terminations.
My practice is built on creative problem solving, communication, and empathy. I understand that issues related to employment can be challenging for both employees and employers alike, and I take pride in helping clients resolve disputes and manage their employment relationships.
In law school, I volunteered with Queen’s Legal Aid, Family and Children’s Services, the Girl Guides, and ElderDog. I also am a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Advocacy Club.
Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, gardening, skiing, and taking my three dogs on long walks in local conservation areas.
