Jeffrey Bomber

I am an Appellate Attorney - I joined McKeen and Associates in April of 2023. Before joining McKeen, I worked at defense-side firm where I specialized in defending healthcare providers in 42 U.S.C. 1983 claims alleging deliberate indifference. I graduated from Penn State Dickinson Law in 2021 where I earned a certificate in Health Law and Policy and served as a mentor for 1Ls in the Women's Law Caucus, was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, and a Civil Procedure tutor. I earned my Bachelor's Degree at Central Michigan University with a double major in Political Science - International Relations and Philosophy. I'm originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where my parents still reside and where I like to visit to spend time out on the boat with my dad, fish, and go on hikes with our Alaskan Husky named Butter. Along with that, I love going to Lions and Red Wings games, as well as play guitar. I am admitted to practice in Michigan, as well as both the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

I was always drawn to health law because I originally wanted to be a doctor as a young kid, but quickly found I was better at reading/research and writing than science and math. As I continued to grow and learn, I began to identify several issues with the manner and quality of healthcare provided in the country and the way individuals can fall into the cracks of the system, leading to negligent medical care and poor outcomes. Working at McKeen has provided me the opportunity to fight for those neglected by our healthcare system in a way that I feel fits my strengths - appellate research and writing.
