As a regular reform consultant to foreign governments, Peter Binder advises state authorities on the implementation of modern arbitration and alternative dispute resolution laws and the setting up of arbitration centers. His engagements are not bound to one continent or jurisdiction, but rather consistently involve international nominations as arbitrator in complex arbitral proceedings under the rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (“UNCITRAL”) or the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”).
He is widely acknowledged as one of the leading experts on UNCITRAL Model Law jurisdictions and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Due to his understanding of the arbitration procedure, Mr Binder frequently visits various European universities as a lecturer.
