Dennis St. J. Mulvihill is a senior partner at Robb Leonard Mulvihill LLP. He graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1969, and received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1972, where he served on the Law Review. Mr. Mulvihill has been honored in his career to be selected as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he served as a Statewide Committee Person. He has also been selected by his peers to serve as a Fellow in the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He served as President of that body for the 2001-2002 term.
Mr. Mulvihill is one of the few trial lawyers in Western Pennsylvania to be consistently ranked in Best Lawyers in America in four categories: commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, malpractice law, and “Bet- the-Company" Litigation. The 2022 publication of Best Lawyers in America marks his 28th year on the list. Additionally, he was named by Best Lawyers in America as “Lawyer of the Year 2011 for Legal Malpractice Law” in Pittsburgh.
For sixteen years, Mr. Mulvihill has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. He has received special recognition as a Top 50 Pittsburgh Lawyer a total of twelve times. Also, he has been acknowledged as a Top 100 Lawyer in the State of Pennsylvania in the category of business litigation. Mr. Mulvihill has been designated one of "Pittsburgh's Top Rated Lawyers" by Martindale-Hubbell and has been awarded its highest "AV Preeminent" rating for 15 consecutive years. In addition, he is listed in Who's Who in American Law.
Mr. Mulvihill has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Between 1992 and 1996, Mr. Mulvihill served as the Vice President of the Board of Governors of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He was on the Judicial Merit Selection Committee and was Judiciary Committee Chairman in 1991. In 2004, Mr. Mulvihill was the keynote speaker at an annual dinner of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County.
Mr. Mulvihill is a lifelong Pittsburgher and has devoted his entire career to civil litigation.
