Jan Dop is a partner at Russell Advocaten. His practice areas are corporate and employment law and real estate law. His clients range from national (quoted) companies to international stock exchange listed companies. He often advises companies and key employees in, inter alia, the retail and construction sector on corporate, commercial and employment matters, such as corporate restructuring, dismissals, corporate governance and M&A. Moreover, he is an experienced boardroom counsellor.
He is a member of the Amsterdam Association of Labour Lawyers and the Dutch Bar Association.
Jan received his LL.M. in Civil Law from VU University Amsterdam in 1997.
He has published various articles and books in the fields of employment law and corporate law for specialists and the general public. Publications he has co-authored include: “Handboek Ontslagrecht” (Handbook on the Law on the Termination of Employment Contracts) and “Dealing with the Dutch: An Introduction to Dutch Business Law”. He regularly hosts Dutch and English language workshops on employment law and on corporate law issues.
Jan is fluent in Dutch and English.
