Michael is a commercial and civil litigator with experience in real estate, construction, municipal, general contract, maritime, trusts and wills, and personal injury disputes. As a former clerk to Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Francis X. Flaherty, and intern to Federal District Court Judge William E. Smith, Michael has a keen sense for evaluating the merits of any particular matter. This allows him to better meet his clients’ goals: achieving sensible outcomes in the most economically effective way.
Michael’s practice also involves commercial land use and development. Michael has won municipal approvals for projects in Newport and other neighboring municipalities. Since 2021, Michael has also been the Assistant Town Solicitor for the Town of Middletown, Rhode Island.

When he is not working hard for his clients, Michael enjoys sailing in Narragansett Bay, reading novels, and playing almost any sport.
