Jennifer E. Wheelock joined the Firm as a Partner in 2021. She is a lawyer with more 19 years of civil litigation experience.
Ms. Wheelock graduated from Providence College with a B.S. in Political Science and Sociology. She obtained her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law. Ms. Wheelock is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Her practice is concentrated in the areas of civil litigation and the trial of civil matters. Ms. Wheelock has extensive experience in defending claims in the areas of product liability, premises liability, uninsured and underinsured motorists’ claims, professional liability, public entity law, emergency response liability, fire related litigation, construction defects, toxic torts, insurance coverage and other general liability matters. Ms. Wheelock has extensive experience handling all aspects of litigation from its inception through to case resolution. More specifically, Ms. Wheelock is highly proficient when it comes to legal research and writing, all phases of discovery, motion practice, negotiation, mediation, arbitration and bench and jury trials.
Ms. Wheelock is actively involved in her local legal community and enjoys giving back to the profession. She is currently the President of the Hartford County Bar Association, has been elected to serve on the House of Delegates of the Connecticut Bar Association as of 2017, is a Bencher in the Oliver Ellsworth Chapter of the America Inns of Court, and is a member of the Hartford County, Connecticut, and Rhode Island Bar Associations. Ms. Wheelock also served as Chair of the Women in the Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association (September 2016-June 2020) and as the Section’s legislative liaison (2015-2016).
Ms. Wheelock is often invited to speak on a variety of topics.
