Bo’s twenty-seven-year practice spans the state, as he has appeared in chancery districts in all corners of Mississippi. Bo is licensed to practice in Mississippi (1994) and Alabama (1996), and he is active in various bar associations on a local and national level.
In 2009, Bo earned fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. AAML Fellows are generally recognized by judges and attorneys as preeminent family law practitioners with a high level of knowledge, skill and integrity. The AAML was founded “to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the cause of matrimonial law, to the end that the welfare of the family and society be protected.”
Bo is a past chair of the Family Law Section of the Mississippi Bar. He served a two-year term as a Director of the Hinds County Bar Association. Bo also serves on several committees within the Mississippi Bar, including a Regional Chair of the Board of Bar Admissions Committee on Character and Fitness. He is a regular name on MidSouth Super Lawyers’ annual lists for his work in family law. Bo is a former member of the board of directors of Shepherd’s Staff. He currently serves as counsel to Make-A-Wish Mississippi.
He is a 1991 graduate of Mississippi State University, having earned a degree, magna cum laude, in forest resource management. He graduated in 1994 from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he served as chairman of the Moot Court Board. He remains active at Ole Miss through the Lamar Order.
Bo and his wife, Kathy, live in Jackson and have two children: Sarah and Paul. They are active in their church, various local charities, and their children’s schools.
