2. Fidelity / Employee Dishonesty Claims - the fraud triangle is commonly referred to as Pressure, Opportunity and Rationalization as the three components of fraud. The last 4 months have seen a significant increase in both Pressure and Opportunity as employees have faced job/pay cuts and the workforce has mostly transitioned to work-at-home.
3. Reps & Warranties Insurance Claims - while deals have slowed, we are seeing a lot of restructuring activity that, we believe, will lead to combinations and mergers. We expect to see COVID being used as a crutch in explaining a lot of performance issues going forward. This heightens the challenges for due diligence teams and our R&W accounting experts will explain how these insurance policies are bring value to the deal.
