I hate to start another Primerus article with the sentiment – during these unprecedented times – but to be honest, what hasn’t changed because of this pandemic? Nonetheless, many of you are finding yourself in positions at the firm where you never have been. Maybe you are taking on more administrative roles, maybe you are doing more research and writing to stay up on the ever-changing legal atmosphere , or maybe you work in employment law and are struggling to keep your head above water.
One way to serve your firm during these times is to act as the Primerus resource. While it is true that there are designated key contacts for each firm, many times those attorneys are overloaded, and it can be difficult to keep track of all the opportunities that Primerus has to offer. Take the initiative to make sure to read the Globe and the Weekly eMagazine to find out what opportunities are coming up in the next month. Distribute the information. Make sure people are aware that there are webinars, practice group calls, writing opportunities, or even upcoming in person events (you know – when that happens again).

By acting as that resource, you are ensuring that your firm is utilizing its Primerus membership to the fullest. You are assisting the firm with marketing endeavors when it is difficult to find the time or resources. Be the guide for your firm when it comes to Primerus opportunities. You will find an appreciation amongst your peers and superiors at the firm by doing so. Be the resource.
