The Southport-based law firm of Brody Wilkinson PC is proud to announce that it will serve as a 2015-2016 season sponsor of the Fairfield Theatre Company (FTC), according to principal Thomas J. Walsh, Jr. of Fairfield. The firm is a long-time supporter of Fairfield Theatre Company and received a Corporate Citizen of the Year award by FTC in 2014.
“With so many great local organizations to support, two compelling reasons led the firm to increase its support of FTC this year – one a nod to the past; the other to the future,” Walsh said. “Brody Wilkinson’s involvement with FTC originates with the birth of the theatre itself when it was primarily presenting plays. I have a special connection to this facility because as Town Attorney I represented the Town of Fairfield when it purchased the FTC property. It has been fascinating to watch the property’s evolution from an industrial facility to a community arts mecca. Since then, our firm’s affiliation with FTC has become further entwined through relationships with several clients and firm friends with whom we have collaborated to celebrate FTC’s mission and fantastic programming. Looking to the future, we regard FTC as one of the key local organizations benefitting Fairfield’s culture and economy, and the opening of The Warehouse, FTC’s newest venue, makes the future brighter yet. The 640-seat state-of-the-art performance space will allow for greater programming opportunities and will be a boon to local residents and downtown business. Brody Wilkinson is excited to be in the front row for this next stage of FTC’s growth.”
Walsh also pointed out that giving back to the community is a hallmark of Brody Wilkinson’s culture. All attorneys are actively involved in at least one community organization ranging from Bridgeport Hospital and Beardsley Zoo to the Council of Churches and Fairfield Museum and History Center, where Walsh serves on the Museum and History Center’s Board of Directors and as head of its Nominating Committee.
