Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce that Jack D. Griffeth has been named President–Elect of the South Carolina Bar Foundation Board of Directors. Griffeth begins his term July 1, 2011.
The South Carolina Bar Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the South Carolina Bar. Its mission is to fund the advancement of justice by improving access, education and accountability. Since 1987, the Foundation has awarded more than $43 million to various legal-related organizations that work on behalf of the justice community. The Foundation is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors.
Jack Griffeth, a shareholder with Collins & Lacy, practices in the Greenville office. His 34-year practice of law has focused on defense trial work, representing employers in employment related litigation and mediation.
Along with being a tireless advocate for the South Carolina Bar Foundation, Griffeth is the 2011 President of the Greenville Bar Association, Secretary/Treasurer for the S.C. Bar Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the House of Delegates for the 13th Judicial Circuit. He is a past member of the South Carolina Bar's nominations committee and past-president of the Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution Council. Jack is a certified mediator by the South Carolina Bar and speaks frequently on the subject of mediation.
