Governor Nikki Haley has appointed attorney Kristian Cross to the South Carolina Board of Accountancy

The South Carolina Board of Accountancy is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the rules and regulations governing the practice of accounting in the state. The board consists of nine members who are all appointed by the Governor, seven accountants and two members of the public who have no connection to the profession.

“At Collins & Lacy, we are dedicated to the communities in which we live and work. I feel honored to have been appointed to this board position. It’s a great privilege, and I look forward to serving South Carolina in the years to come,” said Cross. Cross will serve a four-year term on the board, which will conclude June 30, 2016.

The Board of Accountancy is governed by the S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR). LLR Director Holly Gillespie Pisarik is looking forward to Cross’ service on the board.

"I am pleased that Kristian will be joining the South Carolina Board of Accountancy. Kristian's intellect and sense of professionalism makes her a welcome addition, and I am positive that she will make a valuable contribution to the Board," said Pisarik.

In addition to her appointment to the South Carolina Board of Accountancy, Cross also is on the Workers' Compensation Committee for the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association and serves on the executive board of Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.
