It almost goes without saying that since the Coronavirus pandemic, legal marketing has changed drastically, undeniably, and irrevocably. There are no longer in-person meetings, meaning that traditional in-person networking opportunities are sparse if not non-existent. Marketing, therefore, has become a game for the creative and innovative attorney. The question arises, then, how do law firms market their practices during the days of quarantine? One way is by writing and publishing – and Primerus provides multiple opportunities to do so.
Below is an outline of the multiple publication opportunities that Primerus offers its members; all providing value in their own unique way. Primerus coordinators stand ready to help direct their members toward the right publication for you as a firm and as an individual. If you have people at your firm who enjoy writing, are writing often, or simply need something to do during this unusual time in their practice, connect with Primerus to help strategize how to market through these publications.
Primerus Weekly eMagazine
This publication is distributed to the Primerus membership every Monday morning and provides helpful tips, relevant articles of interest, and general updates from Primerus. Members are encouraged to share articles and updates.
Client Xpress eNewsletter
Our corporate client e-newsletter, the Primerus Xpress, contains timely articles written by Primerus lawyers on important legal topics impacting corporate clients around the globe. The purpose of this resource is to provide quality legal information and promote Primerus lawyers throughout the world who are committed to providing clients with excellent work product and outstanding customer service at reasonable fees. It is distributed to over 20,000 clients in addition to the Primerus membership.
Magazines
Stare Decisis: This publication is organized by and for Primerus Young Lawyers. This is a great way to highlight your young lawyers and to promote your firm’s practice. As a young lawyer author, this is a great way to promote your practice and start building your own book of business. Primerus publishes the magazine twice a year and distributes it to our 3,000 members.
Lady Justice: This publication is organized by Primerus Women Lawyers. The publication features articles not only on women’s issues but also articles covering all areas of the law. Written by women attorneys all over the world, this publication is distributed worldwide to all Primerus members and corporate clients.
Compendiums of Law
Primerus Compendiums serve as a wide-ranging reference concerning the applicable law in each state on issues related to specific practice areas. The Compendiums are not intended to be a comprehensive discussion of the law in each jurisdiction, but rather are offered to provide easy reference to the basic rules within each state. The goal of this publication is to provide an awareness of the issues and applicable law which in turn may promote greater cooperation and cost savings to increase the potential for a successful outcome on behalf of Primerus clients.
Practice Area Newsletters
This is a new initiative by some of the practice groups. The goal is to provide a resource for clients on trends and updates in the law by practice area. Articles in these publications tend to be shorter in length but provide value to clients on a more timely basis.
Website and Social Media
We certainly could, and likely will, write a whole article on marketing through your website and social media during the pandemic. However, if you are writing or speaking, whether it is for Primerus or not, please let your coordinator know. We would be happy to promote your work through our website and social media platforms. It is helpful to note that adding content to your Primerus webpages helps significantly with search engine optimization. Additionally, if you are posting content to social media be sure to tag Primerus as it will cast a broader net of who can access and see your content.
As you can see, Primerus provides members ample opportunity to market your practice through our different publications. Please contact your coordinator to discuss what, when, and how to be publishing articles through your membership.
