Downs.Stanford, P.C. (Austin/Dallas, TX) is proud to announce that Jay Downs has recently been instrumental in securing a major benefactor for the Dallas chapter of the “I Have a Dream" Foundation. The benefactor has agreed to provide almost 100% of the funding for the Dallas chapter.
The “I Have a Dream" Foundation works to motivate inner-city children to graduate from high school, pursue higher education and become productive members of the community.
Its mission is to assist underprivileged, at risk youths in low income inner-city communities and provide them assistance and support to help them stay in school, coach and support them to achieve their diploma and go on to college and get their degree.
Mr. Downs is active on the Board of Directors for the Dallas chapter and is pleased to have been a part of the process in locating such a generous benefactor but is nevertheless hard at work in finding other contributors. His goal as a board member is to diversify and find other donors to ensure that this worthwhile program thrives and continues to succeed in helping the city’s at-risk children.
