Kohner, Mann & Kailas, S.C. (Milwaukee, WI) is pleased to announce that Stephen Taylor has again been invited to serve as a judge for this annual Wisconsin event. The contest encourages entrepreneurs in the creation, start-up and early-growth stages of businesses in Wisconsin. The six month process is led by the Wisconsin Technology Council. Past finalists have raised a reported $11 million in private equity, such as angel and venture capital.
Mr. Taylor spent nearly twenty years in business, more than half that working with venture and development capital investors or assisting companies seeking external investment. He served on the board of a UK venture capital fund specializing in leading edge technology investments and has served as an external associate for similar funds. In addition to evaluating investment proposals, he has worked with businesses to develop business plans and to take the steps necessary to achieve them, including capitalizing on intellectual property assets. He has also worked to identify and overcome problems preventing companies from meeting growth targets.
As counsel with Kohner, Mann & Kailas, he focuses on business transactions, particularly relating to business and new market development, including trading across international borders. He also counsels on the implications of electronically stored information in relation to litigation and information security. He can be contacted at staylor@kmksc.com or by calling (414) 962-5110.
