Adam J. Waskie is an associate at McCollom D'Emilio Smith Uebler LLC in Wilmington, Del. He focuses his practice on corporate, commercial, and fiduciary litigation in the Delaware courts. Adam and his wife, Elizabeth, have one child, Nolan, age 2, and are expecting their second in February 2024.
I worked at an ice cream shop at 16 years old as my first job. I still apply many lessons today that I learned working in retail throughout high school and college.
In eighth grade, I had the opportunity to conduct a mock trial. I thought, “this is pretty cool.” From that point forward, I knew that I wanted to become a lawyer.
My parents pushed me to work hard in school, but also stressed that being a well-rounded person is equally important.

I majored in business and marketing with an eye toward becoming a corporate litigator. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
My son was born with a club foot. Thanks to the Club Foot Clinic team at Nemours Children’s Hospital, you would never know it. My wife and I act as advocates for and support new families that have children born with a club foot by acting as a resource through our experience.
