CLEVELAND, OHIO | JULY 2020 -- Alexander C. Campbell recently joined Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell as a partner. He brings insights which will help the firm’s clients advance their mission and objectives while improving the communities in which they live and work. He is a great addition to the firm and focuses his practice on serving nonprofit and for-profit clients and philanthropy-minded and community-oriented individuals, families, and businesses.

Alex offers counsel and guidance in the following areas:

  • Serving as outside general counsel to nonprofits on a wide range of legal and strategic issues.
  • Representing social enterprise and for-profit clients including issues of formation, capitalization, governance, and financial sustainability.
  • Advising nonprofit and for-profit clients on complex business transactions, including the structuring, documentation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and financings.
  • Counseling philanthropy-minded and community-oriented individuals, families, and businesses with gift agreements, corporate giving, sponsorship programs, and cause marketing campaigns.

He received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a B.S. in Business from Miami University.  His legal career has been shaped by his roles as judicial law clerk, attorney, partner, practice leader, and volunteer, and these experiences provide the foundation for his desire to connect with and truly understand his clients’ objectives so that he can add value as their counsel.
