The Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (ADLA) recently held its annual meeting during which it honored two Ball, Ball, Matthews & Novack, P.A. attorneys: Gerald Swann and Kirby Howard. The ADLA is an association for lawyers who spend the majority of their professional time on civil defense cases in Alabama. During the annual meeting, both Mr. Swann and Mr. Howard were recognized and honored for their commitment and service as members of the Association’s Board from 2016-2019. Additionally, Mr. Swann was elected to hold the position of Secretary/Treasurer for the organization - placing him in line to become President of the ADLA in 2021.

Gerald C. Swann is a partner at Ball, Ball, Matthews & Novack, P.A. who practices in the areas of construction litigation, products liability, serious personal injury and wrongful death. With over 32 years of litigation experience, he has taken numerous cases to verdict and/or arbitration decision.
 

D. Kirby Howard, Jr. is also a partner at Ball, Ball, Matthews & Novack, P.A. He practices in the areas of premises liability, construction, insurance coverage, product liability, wrongful death and automobile liability. In addition to the ALDA, he is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Mobile Bar Association, Baldwin County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
