Doing business in the Asia Pacific Area has changed dramatically in recent years. The trade friction between China and the United States and discussions about change of supply chains after the disruptions that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the uneven recovery of the world economy, rising geopolitical risks, increasing supply chain diversification and IP protection pressure, evolving tax data compliance regimes and reshaping their business strategy — in China, the APAC region and globally. The multinational companies are operating in an increasingly complex environment.
Under these circumstances, it is vital that multinational businesses are familiar with the changes happening in China’s and the APAC region’s business landscape and explore new methods of doing business in and with China and the APAC region — to identify areas of risk in advance and take steps to prepare for new market opportunities. This is the way that multinational businesses can stay alert and flexible in a difficult time
Our panel is planning to discuss the fundamentals and strategies of doing business in China and the emerging APAC region. Our discussion will cover the topics, including but not limited to the following ones:
• Establishing and Running a Business
• Contractual Issues Relating to Supply Chains (Import & Export Related Issues)
• Intellectual Property Protection
• Tax, Audit, and Accounting
• Human Resources and Payroll
• Cybersecurity and Data Protection
• Other Issues
