About Eckart Brödermann - Brödermann Jahn (Hamburg, Germany) Eckart Brödermann (born 1958, four children) is senior partner of the Hamburg, Germany based Primerus law firm Brödermann Jahn (founded 1996, 22 lawyers). In his daily work, he is involved inter alia in advising ACC counsel in their daily cross-border needs, often using the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts 2016 on which he has also written an article-by-article commentary (Wolters Kluwer 2018). It has been well received from academics and practice in over 20 jurisdictions. Eckart studied in Paris, Harvard (East Asian Legal Studies) and Hamburg and is admitted both in New York and Germany. He is a Certified Specialist in International Business Law (Germany) and oversees regularly contracts or arbitrates with relation to multiple jurisdiction on all continents. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London).
About Marc Dedman - Barton LLP (Nashville, Tennessee) Educated and originally licensed in the civil law, Marc Dedman has practiced the common law for over 30 years. He understands the often subtle differences between the two legal systems. He litigates and advises U.S. and international businesses in a wide range of matters relating to business transactions, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, litigation and risk mitigation, crisis management, and healthcare administration and liability. Marc has a history as a strong advocate in the courtroom and alternate dispute resolution proceedings. His experience in resolving problems after they occur has also made him a valuable legal ally in helping to avoid problems before they occur for domestic and international clients alike. In addition to his extensive legal experience, Marc puts his MBA to work in collaborating with the firm’s transactional, cybersecurity, tax, and corporate attorneys to offer a comprehensive set of business services to clients. He remains an active and outstanding leader in the international business community, and he is also consulted by international law firms for his capabilities spanning across multiple practice areas. He has moderated a number of international panels, including at Belmont University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee; Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana; and for the International Association of Primerus Law Firms at events in Washington, D.C. and Miami, Florida. Marc has an “AV Preeminent” peer review by Martindale-Hubbell, was named “Best of the Bar: International” by Nashville Business Journal in 2017 and 2019, was selected to Super Lawyers from 2018 to present, and currently serves on the Executive Council for the Tennessee Bar Association International Law and Practice Section. After graduating from law school, Marc served four years in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, primarily in Washington, D.C. He has been awarded the U.S. Army Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Air Assault Badge. Prior to joining Barton, Marc was with Spicer Rudstrom, PLLC in its Memphis and Nashville offices for 30 years. He was Spicer Rudstrom’s managing partner from 2015-2018, managing six offices in three states. Marc’s clients have said they like working with him because he practices as a lawyer but thinks like a practical business person.

About Lanbo Yang - Hengtai Law Offices (Shanghai, China) Ms. Lanbo Yang is a partner and the head of international practice group of Hengtai Law Offices. Practice Areas: Lanbo’s practice areas include direct foreign investment, outbound investment, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, compliance/governmental regulation, employment law, arbitration and litigation. Her experience covers a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, pharmacy, medical device, life science, internet, auto and parts, industrial automation, etc. Working Experience: Before joining Hengtai, Lanbo worked with multinational companies for years, including as senior legal director at Medtronic China and then as China Country Counsel (heading legal and compliance) with Gilead Sciences. Lanbo has almost 20 years legal experience.
