Robert has decades of experience in the homebuilding and real estate industries. His practice at the firm focuses on homebuilder and building industry mergers, acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures. He represents both sellers and buyers in transactions throughout the US. He is well known by and has developed close relationships with the top investment bankers in the US homebuilding sector. Robert is often sought out by those bankers for his expertise and to assist their clients who are considering engaging in a transaction. They look to him for his knowledge of the homebuilding market, including the various private equity groups, domestic strategic buyers, and international housing companies that are increasingly looking to acquire and/or finance businesses in the homebuilding industry.
Robert also practices in the area of commercial real estate where he represents both landlords and tenants in office and retail leasing and assists commercial clients with acquisitions and dispositions, development, and financing transactions.
Additionally, Robert also often serves as outside general counsel for many of his start-up to mid-sized business clients, assisting with general day-to-day business operations such as formation of the business entity, drafting of operational documents, and handling of contractual matters.
