Omar Lopez is an associate at CCN, where he has worked in the firm’s Monterrey office since 2005. His practice areas include corporate, real estate and criminal law matters. Before joining the firm, Mr. Lopez worked at the Mexican Transportation Institute, Research Center (Instituto Mexicano del Transporte, Centro de Investigación) of the Federal Department of Communications and Transportation in Queretaro, Mexico, where he completed several courses and specializations in the area of highway infrastructure and soil mechanics. He worked for six years with companies performing soil mechanics and quality control studies on construction materials. He received his law degree from the Universidad del Norte in Monterrey, where he graduated in 2003. Mr. Lopez has served as an adjunct professor of law at the Universidad del Norte, teaching Civil and International Law and the Philosophy of Law.
