Gemma Nelson is a member of Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers’ Compensation Law team, assisting with both plaintiff and defendant matters in personal injury, medical negligence, and institutional abuse.

Gemma is based in Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers’ Campbelltown office.

Gemma works diligently to meet her client’s needs whilst also pertaining to the administration of justice.

Gemma has done volunteer work throughout her life including the Vincent Door Knock Appeal for many years, venturing to Vietnam 2018 to volunteer at an orphanage with disadvantaged children. Gemma ventured to Kathmandu, Nepal in August 2024 to collaborate with disadvantaged women in the Women’s Education program. Gemma taught and cared for women aged between 16 and 75 in a women’s shelter and school and this affirmed her passion for social justice.

  • Gemma was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 16 August 2024.
  • Gemma was awarded an International Volunteer Service Certificate for the Nepal Volunteering Program in August 2024.
  • She obtained the Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law in June 2024.
  • Gemma was awarded a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame in June 2024.
  • Gemma was awarded first in the University of Notre Dame for Law Elective: Sports Law in May 2024.
  • Gemma is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the Macarthur Law Society.
