Ms. Finlay became Of Counsel to Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP in 2017. She is a graduate of Cornell Law School, and prior to joining Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP, she practiced law in Ithaca for over 20 years with Blumkin, Finlay & Bixler, LLP and Blumkin & Finlay, LLP. Ms. Finlay practices in the areas of Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate and Estate Administration, Guardianship and Special Needs Planning.

Ms. Finlay is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Tompkins County Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Tompkins County and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She has previously served as a Board Member for the Community Foundation of Tompkins County and McGraw House. She is a volunteer Panel Member for the Surrogate Decision Making Committee and frequently speaks to community groups on topics related to Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Special Needs Planning.
