Robyn Ayres joined Goodman, Allen Donnelly in 2004. She has devoted her practice to defending physicians, nurses, hospitals and other health care providers in malpractice litigation. Her practice also includes health care law, commercial law and products liability litigation, in which she gained experience before joining Goodman Allen Donnelly. Ms. Ayres effectively and efficiently manages an extremely active trial docket. In the last five years she has tried more than 20 complex and high exposure medical malpractice cases to verdict in multiple jurisdictions throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2008 alone, Ms. Ayres successfully defended 5 of the 16 reported “Million Dollar Med Mal Defense Verdicts” reported by Virginia Lawyers Weekly . Ms. Ayres has been consistently recognized by her peers as a Virginia Super Lawyer "Rising Star" in medical malpractice defense, Law and Politics and Virginia Super Lawyers magazine (2009-2012) and  a Virginia Super Lawyer in 2014.  She was also the recipient of the 2013 Chappell-Morris Award by the Virginia State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers for her trial skills, professionalism, ethical and moral standards and character.  Goodman Allen Donnelly was recently selected as a 2013 "Go-To Law Firm" in contracts litigation at the top 500 companies due primarily to Ms. Ayres leadership.
