Elizabeth assists healthcare providers with a wide variety of healthcare related issues, including shepherding clients through Virginia’s Certificate of Public Need (COPN) program, assisting clients with licensing and credentialing issues, representing individual providers before Virginia’s 13 health regulatory boards , navigating business transactions, and ensuring compliance with oft-changing statutory and regulatory provisions. She also routinely assists healthcare providers with employment issues, such as contract disputes and grievance processes. She strives to quickly and smoothly resolve all issues to enable clients to focus on their day-to-day responsibilities and seeks out opportunities to put proactive measures in place to protect the client from any future actions.
Elizabeth joined Mellette PC in 2017 after clerking in the United States Court of Federal Claims’ Office of Special Masters focusing on the adjudication of vaccine injury claims. She is licensed to practice in Virginia. She has been published in Virginia Lawyer and by the American Health Law Association and is an active member of the Williamsburg community. She received her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2016, where she served as Executive Editor on the Journal of Law and Policy, and a BA in English from Virginia Tech in 2011. She lives in Williamsburg with her husband, son, and two pets. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and reading.
