A lifelong lover of reading and writing who hails from a family of educators, Barclay focuses her practice on litigation and education law. She has experience litigating cases involving discrimination, retaliation, breach of employment contracts, and federal voting rights. She has also represented employers, universities, and colleges in connection with charges brought before the EEOC and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. In addition to litigation, Barclay’s practice includes drafting and advising clients regarding employment agreements, counseling schools and other employers on compliance with state and federal laws, and reviewing and revising handbooks and policies. She seeks to get to know her clients on a personal level to better understand the problems they need solved.
After graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law, Order of the Coif, she clerked for the Honorable Clay Land of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and was an associate at a litigation boutique in midtown Atlanta, where she focused her practice on employment, education, and representation of government entities.
Outside of the office, Barclay enjoys running in Piedmont Park or on the BeltLine, cheering on the Dawgs, and spending time with family and friends. On any given holiday, she can be found heading south to her native Columbus or to visit family on Georgia’s Gold Coast.
