Daniel P. Gregory is a trial lawyer with more than 25 years’ experience who concentrates his practice in the areas of general liability and medical malpractice defense. Dan has tried many cases to verdict in the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, New York, and Orange. His broad range of civil litigation experience includes personal injury, premises liability, products liability, labor law, false arrest, malicious prosecution, defamation, motor vehicle, subrogation, assault, and medical malpractice. He has handled many cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death.
Dan has appeared regularly in state courts on Long Island, the five boroughs of the City of New York, New York’s Mid-Hudson region, as well as New Jersey. He also has appeared regularly in federal court in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Further, Dan’s experience includes appellate practice, where he has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Prior to joining Lewis Johs, Dan was a partner and trial lawyer at mid-sized law firms. He also maintained a solo civil practice for many years.
Dan is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey state courts, the United States District Court of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States District Court of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Dan earned his law degree cum laude from New York Law School where he was Notes and Comments Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Human Rights. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University, and a Master of Arts degree from New York University.
