Megan Murphy is a partner with the firm who represents a wide variety of clients in matters pertaining to general liability, including commercial carriers in transportation cases, commercial and residential property owners in premises liability cases, and private security providers. Megan also represents a local public school district in its efforts to provide additional supervision and guidance to its students through the Family Court.
Prior to joining the firm, Megan was an associate with a Long Island firm which focused its practice on negligence and personal injury work. Megan handles all phases of litigation in motor vehicle and premises-related accidents and has obtained summary judgement in multiple transportation and premises liability cases. She has also performed extensive criminal defense work, including the defense of clients charged with cases ranging from domestic violence to grand larceny.
Megan received her Juris Doctorate from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2012. During law school, Megan served on the school’s elite Moot Court Board honor society, and was nationally ranked in oral advocacy competitions. Prior to law school, Megan graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in accounting. She regularly volunteers her time to coach local high school students for mock trial and moot court competitions, and also mentors St. John’s University students who seek to pursue careers in the legal field. Megan also serves on the Board of Directors for the Moxxie Mentoring Foundation, a nonprofit corporation that mentors college women on Long Island.
Megan is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
