Rebecca K. Devlin, Esq. has more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation from the initial investigation up to the trial. She represents clients in different facets of casualty defense litigation, including construction accidents, premises liability, products liability, municipal liability, and vehicular negligence. Primarily handling high exposure cases involving serious injuries on behalf of insurance companies and self-insured clients, Rebecca is often sought out by clients for her tenacity and thoroughness.
Rebecca is also a member of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Department, handling basic and sophisticated estate planning as well as estate litigation and administration matters. She is an approved Guardian Ad Litem in the New York Surrogate’s Court in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties. She has been appointed by the Surrogate to serve as Guardian ad Litem on various types of matters, including will contests and sophisticated accounting.
Rebecca has lectured to clients and local businesses on personal injury and estate and trust matters. She has also written on legal issues for local publications. Rebecca’s advocacy skills and “leave no stone unturned” mentality was recognized early in her career when she was selected by her peers for inclusion in the Super Lawyers 2013; Rising Stars. Since then, she has been selected as a Super Lawyer, Rising Star every year through 2021. She was recognized by Super Lawyers, New York Metro in 2022. She received a Preeminent AV® peer review rating of 5.0 out of 5, the highest rating, from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, one of the most well regarded peer review ratings in the country. She was selected as one of the Top Women in Law for 2016, as chosen by Hofstra Law’s Centers for Children, Families and the Law. She was also honored as one of Long Islands’ 2019 “40 under 40” by Long Island Business News.
Rebecca attended Hofstra University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated, Cum Laude, with a major in political science in 2003. She attended Quinnipiac University School of Law on an academic scholarship where she earned a Juris Doctorate in 2006. She is admitted to practice before the state court of New York.
