Teresa earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2021 from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. While attending law school, Teresa served as President of the Intellectual Property Law Association and as a member of the Student Ambassadors Program where she represented the University in giving tours to incoming students. Teresa also interned in criminal court, with firms specializing in real estate transactions, and at a literary agency where she worked in the audio rights department.

Teresa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Binghamton University.
