Rachel Wayne is a partner who focuses her practice on the defense of personal injury claims and on coverage analysis. Ms. Wayne has extensive experience with complex, multi-party litigation in the areas of premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction negligence, construction defect, employer liability, and municipal liability.

Ms. Wayne combines her attention to detail, persuasive writing, and empathetic ear to be a zealous advocate for her clients. Beginning in the pre-litigation and claims phase, and continuing through discovery, trial, or appeal, Ms. Wayne is always considerate of her clients’ interests in early and efficient resolution.

Prior to joining Lipe Lyons, Ms. Wayne spent ten years working at Feiereisel Kasbohm & Wayne, LLC – building her knowledge and skills which she brings to Lipe Lyons. Before attending IIT Chicago Kent College of Law, Ms. Wayne worked as the electronic resources licensing specialist for the University of Tennessee at its main campus library and served 27 months in the U.S. Peace Corps.

Ms. Wayne is a member of the Chicago and Illinois Bar Associations.

In her free time, Ms. Wayne loves to travel with her twins and her spouse and also runs marathons.

Education

Ms. Wayne attended The Ohio State University and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English Language and Literature (and received an academic merit grant). She graduated from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law cum laude and was a Dean’s List honoree in Spring and Fall 2012 and 2013, and a merit scholarship recipient.
