Alan Sussman is counsel to the firm, and concentrates his practice on federal and state taxation, corporate law, trusts, income and estate planning, and estate administration. Alan is a member of the Tax Sections of the New Jersey State and American Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and before the United States Tax Court.

He has lectured on estate and tax law to the Practicing Law Institute, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (I.C.L.E.), the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Public Accounting Association, the Passaic County CPA Society, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the National Accounting Association, the Fairleigh Dickinson Tax Institute, as well as other business and professional groups. He has authored articles which have appeared in Taxes, and various New Jersey ICLE publications.

Alan has been a past officer and director of the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce, and is currently a director of the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporation. He is a past director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, and was head of their Planned Giving Committee. He has also lectured on different techniques for charitable bequests for such charitable organizations.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University, and his law degree from Hofstra University. Alan has an LLM in Taxation from New York University Graduate School of Law.
